Multi-family Group Training
Overview Recording
In June 2022, EASA Center for Excellence presented this webinar-based overview of the Multifamily Group intervention as a precursor to the in-person skills training.

Joining Session Example
This is a brief example of what a portion of an initial joining session might contain that prepares young people, their families and supporters to participate in the Multifamily Group or Single Family Education (MFG/SFE) workshop and ongoing problem solving groups.
Please use the Joining Session Structure Checklist (also linked in the Handouts below) to evaluate the target items the team member covers in the short simulated video.
Keep in mind that MFG/SFE facilitators complete three joining sessions, each session lasting approximately 45-90 minutes. The three joining sessions will cover the elements on the checklist in a way that strengthens engagement, provides resources, and addresses the needs, hopes, strengths, challenges, and concerns of family members, young people, and their supporters.
Here are some questions to think about while you watch the video:
What was covered?
How was engagement promoted?
What might you add or do differently?
Handouts
Please download and/or print the following handouts prior to a web-based MFG Training.
You DO NOT need to obtain these handouts prior to an in-person training setting--they will be provided to you at the training.
